Who’s Who … ?
Many people help to run the Garrick, looking after the everyday smooth (hopefully!) running of the theatre.
They are all dedicated, hard-working and proud to be involved with the Garrick Playhouse – and we still have room for more happy faces!!!
Most Garrick people are volunteers and working unpaid. In addition, there are a small number of paid employees in specific areas, such as the Artistic Director, the Operations Director, the Finance Manager, Box Office Staff, the Scenic Artist, our wonderful pair of cleaners and a handful of others.
AD and OD
In charge at the Garrick are the Artistic Director (AD) and the Operations Director (OD). Working as a partnership, these drive the artistic programme of the Garrick and manage its operations day by day:

- Sarah Reilly – Operations Director
The Board of Trustees
Because the theatre is a registered charity, the Board of Trustees manages the theatre’s finances and legal issues. Working closely with the AD and OD, they set the strategic goals for the Garrick and ensure that the charity’s aims are fulfilled. Every Trustee is an unpaid volunteer, and each current Trustee has been involved with the Garrick for decades.

Areas of Work at the Garrick
There are teams working hard all over the theatre, working in various departments for the benefit of the theatre and our public.
In no particular order, these include:
- Lighting Department
- Sound Department
- Wardrobe Department
- Properties Department
- Front of House Department including the Kiosk and Coffee Staff
- Stage Management and ASM’s
- Set Painting and Construction
- Directors
- Designers
- Actors
- Stage Crew
In every theatre there’s a role for someone – all working to help create some memorable moments on the Main Stage and in our Studio.
