Janitor/Maintenance Person
Due to the retirement of our current Janitor the Garrick Playhouse are looking for a competent person as replacement.
Please see below details of what this role involves. This is a part-time vacancy of 12 hours per week with the possiblity of overtime from time to time. Rate of pay is ?8.00 per hour.
This role would suit a retired person although not a requirement and experience in this sort of work would be an advantage but not a necessity as full training will be given.

Day to Day
General Maintenance
Car Park Clearance
Checking and replacing lights
Arrange Wheelchair seating according to Box Office requirements
Preparation of Annexe and other rooms for visitors
Testing Fire Alarm break glasses
Testing Emergency Lighting
Occasional assistance in workshop
Occasional assistance on set building
Ongoing Occasional
Changing Posters in the theatre and on exterior notice boards & monolith
On the instruction of the Theatre Manager conduct all outside contractors on site visits
Gutter clearance on accessible areas of building, again on instruction from the Theatre Manager
Special Projects
Forecourt signage, fencing and paving
Refurbishment of dressing rooms
Feasibility of new projects for improvements/extensions
