Altrincham Garrick Playhouse presents the most Fantasmagorical musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, for October Half Term… a high-flying, fun-filled adventure for the entire family!

An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.

One of the world’s favourite musicals, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will have audiences of all ages flying high with its mixture of madness, intrigue and exuberance. Based on the beloved 1968 film version of Ian Fleming’s children’s book, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins),Chitty Chitty BangBang is one family-friendly show that you’ll find “Truly Scrumptious.”

If you want to get involved as a volunteer, we are always looking for new talent, any age, to work in all areas of the theatre. Whether volunteering on-stage, back-stage, front of house, in wardrobe, props, sound or lighting, or elsewhere, no experience is necessary because you will be given full training by our qualified staff.

The Garrick is a non-professional organisation that is extremely well regarded for the high quality of our productions; however we rely on the hard work and generosity of our volunteers.
