Renee Zellweger dazzles with a haunting, insightful performance in a film that charts the extreme high and lows of Judy Garland’s memorable few days of concerts at London’s Talk of the Town nightclub in 1968.
Zellweger’s performance won her an unprecedented quartet of awards: the Golden Globe Award, the SAG Award, theBAFTA Award, and the Academy Award for Best Actress.
This screening will (as always) be introduced by Barry Purves with informed trivia, anecdotes and some background of the production.
