This is generally regarded as the funniest film ever made. It is certainly a masterpiece of wit and warmth, and Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and a luminous Marilyn Monroe give the performance of their lives.
When two down-on-their-luck (male) musicians witness the St Valentine’s day massacre they need to hide away with the first band they can find. The only problem: it’s an all-female band, featuring Marilyn strumming a ukulele. In glorious black and white.
