Paid Roles

​

In House Cleaner

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly in-house cleaner to join our small and welcoming team at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse.

​

About the Role

  • Weekly Hours: Minimum 12 hours per week, rising to up to 16 hours during busy periods

  • Contract: Permanent role with flexible hours

  • Start date: As soon as possible

  • Pay: Hourly rate (details available on request)

  • Holiday: 28 days per year (pro rata), including public holidays or days in lieu

 

Regular Weekly Hours

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 2.5 hours per day (typically worked between 7:00am–10:00am)

  • Saturday: 2 hours (7:00am–9:00am), with a requirement to work at least 3 Saturdays per month

  • Tuesday: No regular shift

This schedule typically totals around 12 hours per week.

 

Additional Hours (as required)

  • Extra weekend hours during busy periods, including double-show weekends and pantomime season

  • May increase to up to 16 hours per week

  • This may include Sundays and afternoon/evening work between matinee and evening performances

 

About You

We’re looking for a team player who is flexible, dependable, and happy to pitch in. Someone who understands the rhythm of a live theatre environment and takes pride in keeping a much-loved venue clean and welcoming.

Assistant Drama Tutor - Join Our GAPA Academy!

The Garrick Academy of Performing Arts at Altrincham Garrick Playhouse is looking for a passionate Assistant Tutor to support our vibrant Saturday drama classes for young people aged 5–18.

 

About the role:

  • Support drama sessions for ages 8–11 or 11–14

  • Lead warm-ups, games & creative activities

  • Help develop students’ confidence and performance skills

  • Assist with showcases and our annual production

  • Occasionally supervise sessions independently

 

When & Where:

  • Saturdays, 8:45am –1:45pm

  • Three Terms per year and two weeks of Summer School

  • Altrincham Garrick Playhouse

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in drama, theatre and youth groups

  • Enjoys working with young people

  • Is organised, enthusiastic, and a team player

  • Can step up and lead when needed

  • Performing Arts training or qualifications

  • Experience in teaching/support roles or productions

 

Start: Immediate

 

Contract: Term-based (long-term preferred)
