Peter Coatman

Peter was an outstanding character actor, who joined the theatre in the 1960's.

In his later years his style of acting led to him playing many vicars, doctors and lawyers, but in fact he had a far wider repertoire. He was also an excellent set designer.

A true gentleman, Peter was a long-time servant of the Garrick on the Executive Committee during the 1980s and 90's, and was heavily involved in the discussions and decisions regarding the refurbishment of the theatre that took place in 1999.
