Every relationship reaches a crossroad some time.
As dawn breaks, Maggie is heating some milk and Gary wonders what she’s doing out of bed.
Maybe it’s time for an honest conversation – but how much honesty can this marriage take?
Their unhappiness, questions about the direction of their lives, their years together, and what they actually still want from life. It is all about to come out.
Is this the beginning of the end, or is it just the middle?
Middle is a truthful, moving and funny portrait of a forty-something couple whose marriage hangs in the balance, with all the beauty, awkwardness and honesty of real life.
This is the second of three plays by David Eldridge. Beginning, Middle, and most recently, End make up a fascinating trilogy exploring love and relationships. End has just recently finished a successful, sell-out run at the National Theatre.
This production is part of the Garrick Studio 26/27 Season - A Season of Connection: stories that bind us, break us, and bring us back together.
